In our last post we spoke about starting an upgrade path to new Quad Core Xeons in most of our hosting servers. Well our test server survived testing without bursting into flames, so we’re now going to start deploying them in the data center.
These servers will primarily be put to use in the reseller hosting servers first, and behind that the shared hosting servers will be upgraded.
The use of the quad cores will also lead us into a new semi-dedicated reseller plan offering which we will be releasing in the next two weeks.
